My Journey to Mombom
At 39, my body asked me to slow down. I had ignored the inflammation in my knee for too long, and eventually, hundreds of tumors formed around it. Surgery became unavoidable—and with it came a new understanding of how deeply we need to listen to our bodies.
In my search for healing, I returned to my roots. My aunt, a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor and acupuncturist, had introduced me to the wisdom of ancient healing from a young age. I began looking again to those traditions—to balance, resilience, and the belief that nature can be a powerful teacher.
My travels in Japan gave me another piece of the puzzle: simplicity. The beauty of using less, choosing thoughtfully, and allowing each ingredient to have a purpose.
Mombom grew from these two worlds, and from my own need for care. It has since become something I share with my children, too—a ritual I reach for when they have a bruise, sore muscles, or simply need a little extra comfort.
Mombom is my little “bom” of nature, rooted in tradition and made for everyday rituals of care.
I hope you enjoy your "bom", and that it becomes a small but meaningful part of your own journey toward self-care, resilience, and healing.
